This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for Benagos Technologies Limited and our platform services not leaving out applications like ( Billing Portal, Billing Engine, Asset Management Web Portal, Identity Authentication Server, and other software applications ). This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website and applications, except where stated otherwise. It will notify you of the following:

  • With whom it is shared;

  • How it can be corrected;

  • How it is secured;

  • How policy changes will be communicated; and

  • How to address concerns over misuse of personal data.

Personal data we collect

Benagos only collects data provided by you during registration. The data we collect depends on the information provided by you during registration and the setup of your store or account. You have choices when it comes the data you share. When we ask you to provide personal or corporate data, you may decline, however, please note that we may not be able to complete your setup in the absence of certain mandatory information. Many of our products require some personal data to provide you with a service. If you choose not to provide data required to provide you with a product or feature, you may not be able to use that product or feature. Where providing the data is optional, and you choose not to share personal data, features like personalization that use such data may not work for you.

It is compulsory to provide the information required on the registration in order to access our services, if you choose not to provide this information, we may be unable to provide you with the services or you may only have limited access to our services. By giving us this information, you agree to this information being collected, used and disclosed as described in this privacy policy.

Registration

In order to efficiently use our platform, you must first complete the registration form, agree to the terms of use and the privacy policy on the Benagos Platform. During registration you are required to give certain information (such as name, phone number, email address, merchant’s store address etc.)

  • Information you give us: You provide most such information when you search, buy, post, or communicate with customer service. For example, you provide information when you provide information in your Account (and you might have more than one if you have used more than one phone number when creating accounts) or your Profile; communicate with us by phone, e-mail etc. As a result of those actions, you might supply us with such information as your name, address, and phone numbers; credit card information; people to whom purchases have been shipped, including addresses and phone number; phone numbers of your customers; content of reviews and e-mails to us; personal description and photograph in your profile; and financial information, including Bank verification and driver's license or other valid means of identification numbers.

  • Automatic information: information we collect and analyse include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login, computer and connection information such as browser type, version, and time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform; purchase history, which we sometimes aggregate with similar information from other customers to create features like Top Sellers ; the full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream to, though, and from our Web site and application, including date and time; cookie number; businesses you viewed or searched for. We may also use browser data such as cookies, Flash cookies (also known as Flash Local Shared Objects), or similar data on certain parts of our Web site and application for fraud prevention and other purposes. During some visits we may use software tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.   • Option for Customers’ registration: On the platform, a merchant may choose to make his store accessible to customers who have not gone through the registration process on the platform and are not duly registered. Where this is the case, unregistered customers may access the Merchant’s store after their acceptance of the Platform’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender or age) about yourself or business, but it is not mandatory.

Subscription

We request information from you on our platform. To subscribe or make payment for our services, you may provide certain information to the payment service provider. Please note that the payment services are end-to-end between you and the payment service provider and the information provided by you is only used for billing purposes and to fulfil your orders.

How we use personal data

Benagos uses the data we collect to provide you with rich, interactive experiences. We use data to:

  • On the platform, a Privacy Policy.

  • Provide our products, which includes updating, securing, and troubleshooting, as well as providing support. It also includes sharing data, when it is required to provide the service or carry out the transactions you request.

Such third parties include (a) affiliated companies within our corporate structure (b) law enforcement agencies (c) government agencies and (d) as needed for legal purposes. Such information maybe shared with these third parties for business purposes and/or as may be required by the relevant governing laws or any other purpose as Benagos may deem fit at the time.

We partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Your information may, for example, be transferred or transmitted to, or stored and processed in Nigeria or other countries outside for the purposes as described in this policy. We shall take reasonable steps to ensure that any such overseas entities are contractually bound not to use your personal information for any reason other than to provide the services they are contracted by us to provide and to adequately safeguard your personal information

Storage

Data received from you are automatically synced and saved with reliable and verified third-party cloud services. We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services and Products, or until your account is deleted - whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs.

Security

We take precautions to protect your personal and corporate information. When you submit sensitive information via the website or platform, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.   • The Merchant shall always fulfill any orders made on the Benagos’ platform and shall always update its profile according to the stock it has in order to curtail any inability to fulfil the customers’ orders.

  • The Merchant shall be responsible for the safe and clean transportation of all goods purchased from its store till it is delivered to the customer.

  • The Merchant shall be responsible for customer experience.

Why do we use cookies ?
